Located in the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) at BSD City, The Nusantara Food and Hotel (NFH) continues to demonstrate strong growth, driven by increasing market demand, technological advancements, and the rising competitiveness of locally sourced products in the global marketplace. NFH is an exhibition showcasing Indonesian food and beverage brands and hospitality equipment brands to not only strengthen ties between the food and beverage and hospitality industries but also uplift and uphold the Indonesian culinary scene, preserving Indonesia’s traditions in the world of service and hospitality. This weekend, the NFH are bringing love and appreciation of the Indonesian culture and culinary arts to both visitors and business owners.

Carrying the tagline "Tap Into Indonesia's Finest Delicacies," the exhibition serves as a dynamic business platform that brings together manufacturers, distributors, business owners, industry professionals, and the wider community to explore the latest industry developments, foster collaboration, and create new business opportunities across the food, beverage, and hospitality sectors.

The official opening ceremony was inaugurated by Ni Luh Puspa, Vice Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, accompanied by representatives from related ministries, supporting industry associations, and the organizer. Among those attending the ceremony were Gusti Laksamana, Secretary General of the Specialty Coffee Association of Indonesia (SCAI); Minerva Taran, Chairwoman of the Indonesian Catering Association (PPJI); Rafael Triloko Basanto, President of the Association of Culinary Professionals (ACP) Indonesia; Louis Tanuhadi, President of the Indonesian Pastry Bakery Society (IPBS); and Rafidi Iqra Muhammad, Director of PT Debindo Global Expo.

“I’m happy to see Indonesian cuisine served in a hotel, even if that hotel is a part of a multinational franchise,” said Ibu Ni Luh Puspa, Vice Minister of Tourism in Indonesia, at Nusantara Food and Hotel exhibition press conference.

In his opening remarks, President of Debindo Group Pak Rafidi Iqra Muhamad welcomed visitors and the media to the exhibition. He described the event as more than just an exhibition. “It is a space for collaboration for food, beverage, coffee, and hospitality industries to meet and inspire growth in one another. We are witnessing a dynamic growth in Indonesia’s culinary and hospitality industries, with a rising appreciation for our specialty coffee, thus reaching a potential never before realized,” said Pak Rafidi.

Ibu Puspa expressed that there is a waning appreciation for Indonesian cuisine, especially among the youth. “I understand that Indonesian cuisine is harder to introduce as it is very diverse,” she said. Furthermore, she showed appreciation for NFH in their endeavor to bring Indonesian culture and cuisine beyond their home soil and stated that there are plans to create a training and certification system for the new workforce.

When asked about how tourism can contribute to the growth of the food and hospitality industries amid global economic uncertainty, Ibu Puspa responded, “We are still seeing a growth in tourism in Indonesia. We are pushing local governments to uphold and preserve the quality of these tourist destinations so that tourists may still choose Indonesia as a top destination. We from the Ministry of Tourism are aiming to strengthen the workforce through training, upscaling, and certification. Last year, we focused on the safety of tourism, and we still aim to do the same for this year alongside other sectors as well.”

This year's edition features hundreds of leading brands and companies representing food and beverage products, bakery and pastry, coffee, professional kitchen equipment, food processing technology, hotel supplies, and hospitality solutions. Prominent participating brands include GEA GETRA, GASTRO, Barco, Lee Kum Kee, Tofico, and Sango, alongside hundreds of other exhibitors showcasing innovative solutions for the food, beverage, and hospitality industries. Visitors have the opportunity to discover the latest products, engage directly with industry leaders, and explore new business collaborations.

As one of this year's new highlights, NFH Expo 2026 features the Jalur Rempah (Spice Route) educational installation, developed in collaboration with Yayasan Negeri Rempah and supported by PT Trio Jaya Steel. The installation invites visitors to explore the remarkable journey of Indonesia's spices, which have long served as the foundation of the nation's culinary heritage and played a significant role in the history of global trade. Through a diverse collection of spices sourced from various regions across Indonesia, visitors can gain deeper insights into their origins, unique characteristics, and enduring role as a cultural heritage that continues to inspire the country's culinary industry.

Beyond the exhibition itself, NFH Expo 2026 features a wide range of supporting programs designed to enrich the visitor experience. One of the key highlights is the Nusantara Culinary Challenge, organized in collaboration with PPJI and ACP Indonesia, providing a competitive platform for professional chefs to demonstrate their creativity and expertise across various competition categories.

In the coffee sector, the Indonesia Brewers Championship (IBrC) – Western Region, organized by SCAI, returns as one of the country's most prestigious coffee competitions, where brewers showcase their manual brewing skills while competing for a place in the national championship.

The exhibition also offers an extensive lineup of cooking demonstrations, workshops, business talk shows, product launches, and inspirational sharing sessions featuring chefs, industry practitioners, and business leaders. These programs are designed to provide valuable insights into emerging trends, technological advancements, and collaborative opportunities shaping the future of Indonesia's food and hospitality industries.

The exhibition is open from 9 to 12 July 2026. With many local equipment brands to explore and many local food brands to try, the Nusantara Food and Hotel exhibition is an open space for many businesses to learn and grow, and for both locals and tourists to appreciate the art of Indonesian cuisine.
